I just got my rook pierced here and it was a great experience. Johnny, the owner, was really friendly and welcoming. Vincent was the one who did my piercing and he was very professional, personable, and I barely felt it when the needle went through. Everything was clean and I felt very comfortable. Both Johnny and Vincent mentioned that the rook piercing is supposed to help with anxiety, so we'll see if that's true! I might go back at some point to get my daith pierced since that's supposed to help with migraines.
I highly recommend Jax Ink Tattoo and Body Piercing if you're looking for a place to get pierced on the Westside.

Wife and I went in the afternoon on Sunday at 4pm without an appointment. They welcomed us right away drew up both of our arm tattoos and had them done on us both by 9pm. We walked in not expecting to get them done same day but they made it work.

Update: I paid $200 to this shop just to have to remove the top dermal earring of my mock "surface tragus," all because Vincent cut it too deeply, and the earring sunk into my skin.
Mind you, both he and the owner went on and on about how "they've been doing this for years," but I wasted my money on a piercing that I was forced to take out.. Whatever.
I should've gone with my original plan to get it done elsewhere for way less.. Lesson learned.
Original post: I only gave two stars because I didn't end up hating the piercing job; however, the level of professionalism is concerning..mainly, the rude and disrespectful interactions of the older guy (owner). I refused to stoop to his level and allow him to cause me to make a scene, but that doesn't mean I won't write a review to warn others.
First off, people can look younger in the face, despite their actual age. For him to yell out in front of everyone, "I hope she's 18!"..Seriously?..That was extremely inappropriate. If he wasn't sure of my age, then that definitely wasn't the way to handle it.
Next, he proceeds to ask me, out of nowhere, what do I do for work. If I'm being honest, none of his damn business. Why would he even be concerned with my employment? Other than rudeness, nosiness, and another opportunity to be condescending.
I've, also, never had to pay a business before receiving my service, yet this dude seriously had me pay up front, even though he didn't ask the other two customers to do that. I don't know what his problem is, but I refuse to go back to this shop.

Went in for a walk-in only took about 30 minutes of waiting because another appointment had came in. The staff are welcoming and humourous. They will make sure you’re well taken care of. Did really good with the size and design of my tattoo!

Johnny did me and my daughter's nose piercing. We had no idea what to expect but he made us feel very comfortable. I really loved the way he explained and went into detail about the after care.
